Flaherty Fire Department was established in 1965. This is a volunteer fire department and is on call 24/7 all year round. Our mission is protect and serve the community of Flaherty and surrounding areas.
Over 40 years later, the department has grown to about 40 members strong and certified as firefighters/emergency medical responders & EMTs.
Flaherty Fire Department has trained/certified response teams: Rope Rescue (Operations Level), HAZ-MAT (Operations Level), Mass/Multiple Casuality, Vechicle Extrication and Diaster Response.
We want to ensure our community and surrounding areas that we are dedicated and proud to serve and protect this community and surrounding areas. Our training is very important to us as a fire department to provide a more efficent, more flexiblity, more adaptation to an ever evolving world. Safety and time are both very valuable when responding to an incident/situation, we want to provide the highest quality, professionalism, and service to our residents and neighboring fire agencies.
